Domenica Tomasetti focuses her practice on the Firm’s core litigation and trial matters, including restrictive covenants, trade secrets, employment discrimination, retaliation, and other employment claims.

Prior to joining Rubin Fortunato, Domenica was a civil litigator at a firm in Philadelphia.  She is a 2023 graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.  During law school, Domenica served as the Managing Editor of Research and Writing for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal.  She also worked as a legal research assistant on employment law and Title IX issues, was a Civil Procedure teaching assistant, was Vice President of the Labor and Employment Law Organization, was a Staff Writer for the Villanova Sports Law Blog, and helped to develop Villanova’s first forum focusing on Title IX.  Domenica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The Catholic University of America, where she was an assistant coach of the women’s basketball team, worked as an assistant to the Athletic Director for NCAA compliance, and was on the Dean’s List.  She is admitted to practice before the courts of Pennsylvania.

Practice Highlights

• Obtained summary judgment in federal court on former employee’s claims alleging violations of state and federal anti-discrimination law based on race, national origin, sex, disability, and age, as well as a federal claim of retaliation based on disability and claims of retaliation and interference with the Family and Medical Leave Act.

• After a five-day state court jury trial, obtained unanimous defense verdict on Pennsylvania Human Relations Act sex discrimination and retaliation, aiding and abetting, breach of contract, and Wage Payment and Collection Law claims.
