As National Human Trafficking Prevention Month (January) comes to an end, we want to take a moment to highlight another local gem, Worthwhile Thrift. Worthwhile operates two thrift stores in Pennsylvania – one in Collegeville and one in Plumsteadville. Proceeds from Worthwhile Thrift stores serve as financial support for Worthwhile Wear, an organization that provides restorative programs for survivors of human trafficking. The thrift stores also provide vocational training and employment for women participating in The Well, a recovery and housing program for female victims of sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking.
The Firm recently donated to Worthwhile Thrift’s “library” of books collected from employees for Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2024. We are proud to support Worthwhile Wear’s mission to reach and serve women affected by human trafficking…because everyone is worthwhile.
