Effective January 1, 2025, Minnesota will join the trend toward pay transparency. Minnesota employers with 30 or more employees working in the State will be required to include in their job postings the starting salary range (defined as the minimum and maximum annual salary or hourly range of compensation based on the employer’s good faith estimate at the time of posting) and a general description of benefits (including, among other things, health and retirement benefits) and other compensation.
Minnesota Employers: Review and update your job postings to comply with the new law. Ensure that your hiring personnel (including third parties who may recruit for you) are aware of the law’s requirements and have the information that they need to comply with it.
