Back to School: Rubin Fortunato Supports Maternal and Child Health Consortium

Feeling prepared and having the right tools to start the school year makes a significant difference.  Locally, we are fortunate to have organizations such as the Maternal and Child Health Consortium. MCHC, with locations in West Chester, Coatesville, and Landenberg, PA, to advocate for and empower prenatal and parenting families to achieve healthy beginnings and bright futures for their children.  MCHC provides families with personalized support from pregnancy throughout childhood.  As summer ends and families prepare to go back to school, MCHC ran a school supply drive to ensure that local children have the supplies that they need to begin a new school year.

Rubin Fortunato was pleased to support MCHC’s efforts.  Along with a financial donation, Rubin Fortunato employees donated 72 backpacks.  We held a backpack assembly event to fill the backpacks with basic school supplies – including pencils, notebooks, folders, rulers, crayons, markers, and other supplies – that our employees also donated.  Pins containing positive messages adorned each backpack and bookmarks with motivational words expressed our best wishes for a happy and productive school year for the students.
