The judge was skeptical.  He was being asked to restrict someone’s livelihood on the basis of a contract entered into years ago.  There was virtually no law to guide the court.  There were only facts that, if explained with great advocacy and logic, would persuade the judge to enter an order that the lawyer sought for his client.  Success was a longshot for sure.

The year was 1983, and in a courtroom in Montgomery County, the young lawyer convinced the judge and won the day for his client.

That lawyer, with an entrepreneur’s spirit, would change the law over the next several decades.  With grit and determination, he crisscrossed the country creating good law to protect his client’s rights, and developed a reputation as a fierce advocate.

Perhaps it was inevitable.  Greg Rubin grew up in a small town and in a family with a strong work ethic and a fundamental sense of fairness.  Taking those skills to the legal community, he built a body of law, and a law firm bearing his name, that grew to become nationally recognized as the go-to employment lawyers for several industries.

Professional accolades followed and he grew the law firm into a major business with Fortune 50 clientele.  And many lawyers in the firm have been the beneficiary of his guidance and steady leadership.

In addition to these professional successes, Greg’s generosity and dedication to the community is reflected in his focus on philanthropic and charitable giving to many recipients, including causes important to the Jewish community.

We toast our founder!

Mazel Tov, Greg!

Happy birthday!
