Karen is an A-V rated attorney who has practiced law for more than 30 years. She consults with businesses and individuals, representing both in arbitration and in state and federal court in several contexts, including: employment matters (with a focus on restrictive covenants and trade secrets), breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair trade practice claims. She also assists clients in drafting employment agreements and related documents.
She has also represented clients in matters involving the rights and responsibilities of corporate officers, directors and shareholders, securities litigation, and zoning/land use issues.
Prior to entering private practice, she clerked for Judge Albert Tate, Jr. during his tenure on the Louisiana Supreme Court and served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of New Orleans.
