Edward J. Heffernan Associate
Mr. Heffernan counsels and represents clients in a variety of employment-related claims, including age, race and gender discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, constructive discharge, defamation, and other workplace claims. He has litigation experience involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, commercial disputes, and intellectual property rights. Mr. Heffernan also practices in the related field of higher education law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Heffernan worked as a licensed financial representative for a national mutual fund company, holding NASD licenses Series 6 and 63. Before joining Rubin Fortunato, Mr. Heffernan gained experience working as an associate with a large Philadelphia law firm where his practice included high-profile multidistrict pharmaceutical litigation and government investigations.
