Business owners and in house attorneys need more than lawyers who know the litigation ropes. They need accurate, succinct business advice from experienced individuals who know their business and know how it operates. Lawyers who can’t talk the talk with business owners and general counsel don’t deliver full value.

Mark Harbison leads the firm’s practice in general business litigation concerning departing employees, as well as in working with and consulting business owners, management teams, in-house attorneys, and individuals on ways to minimize the litigation risks that may exist when hiring from the competition.

Mark is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has nearly three decades of experience representing professionals and businesses in litigation and consulting on employment law.  In addition, he works closely with businesses and their legal departments in developing knowledge management data to better analyze their litigation programs and manage legal spend.  He works with clients to put together alternative fee programs in lieu of hourly-based billing for legal work.  He regularly assists businesses in drafting and reviewing agreements designed to protect trade secrets and confidential business information, as well as Executive Compensation Agreements, and helps businesses conduct “risk-reward” analyses concerning the hiring of new employees.

He has represented clients across the nation in numerous jury and bench trials, has extensive arbitration experience, and has handled mediations before self-regulatory organizations in the securities, medical services, executive recruiting, and pharmaceutical industries.
